Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Staff Thermal Systems Engineer to shape the future of data center cooling technology. Based in New Freedom, PA, you will own the complete product lifecycle from concept to certification, working with global teams to deliver certified, manufacturable thermal solutions.

You will mentor engineers and influence cross-functional practices across thermal, electrical, and controls domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years experience with released thermal products or systems.
• Cross-domain knowledge across thermal, controls, electrical systems.
• Ability to mentor Senior and Principal Engineers.
• Commercial HVAC experience, preferably with chillers.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-range planning for thermal product families.
• Own product family architecture and platform strategy.
• Coordinate specifications and design-for-manufacturing guidelines.
• Mentor engineers and guide cross-functional teams.
• Define certification strategies for global market access.
