Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a senior Research Scientist Domain Lead for Thermodynamics in Columbus, OH. You will serve as the principal technical expert on cooling research, guiding strategic innovation initiatives and coordinating research across internal teams and external partners.

You will contribute original work, prioritize Horizon 3 thermodynamics projects, and align activities with near-term product needs and long-term AI/high-performance computing thermal management goals.

Qualifications

PhD or equivalent with deep thermodynamics expertise.
Master’s degree may be considered with exceptional thermal R&D experience.
8+ years in thermal management research or related field.

Responsibilities

Set research strategy and drive advanced cooling R&D programs.
Lead or co-lead multi-disciplinary projects with internal teams and external partners.
Evaluate feasibility and prioritize research initiatives for product relevance.
Design, execute, and validate thermal experiments and tests.
Communicate findings to leadership and collaborate on IP development.
Represent Vertiv in partnerships, consortia, and conferences.
