Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle seeks an experienced Thermal/Fluids Engineer to support upper-stage development and flight operations. You will perform thermal and fluids analysis, create models, evaluate bounding conditions, and document inputs, results, and data books throughout the lifecycle from concept to sustaining engineering.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 5+ years in thermal/thermodynamic analysis, and experience with modeling tools such as ANSYS Workbench,

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
• 5+ years in thermal or thermodynamic analysis
• Experience with one or more fluid/thermal modeling tools (e.g., ANSYS Workbench, SINDA/FLUINT, Thermal Desktop)
• US citizen or eligible for US work authorization

Responsibilities

• Conduct thermal/fluids analysis to define performance and hardware needs.
• Implement aerothermal and natural environments across all flight phases.
• Generate models to predict system performance over varied environments.
• Document inputs, models, and results in reports and data books.
• Support production, testing, and flight operations through lifecycle.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure safety and reliability.
