Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced engineer to perform thermal and fluids analysis for upper-stage spaceflight systems. You will define hardware requirements, run models, and verify environments across flight phases, ensuring reliability and safety.

The role emphasizes documentation, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and lifecycle support, with opportunities to lead analysis efforts. Qualifying candidates have a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and 5+ years in thermal analysis; MS

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
  • 5+ years of thermal/thermodynamic analysis experience.
  • Experience with modeling tools such as ANSYS Workbench, SINDA/FLUINT, Thermal Desktop.
  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible to work in the U.S.
  • Desirable MS degree and 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience with launch vehicle and cryogenic systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thermal and fluids analysis for upper-stage spaceflight systems.
  • Define hardware requirements and resolve technical challenges.
  • Develop and verify thermal/fluids environments and performance requirements.
  • Generate and run models to predict system performance across environments.
  • Document analysis inputs, models, and results in reports and data books.
  • Support production, testing, and mission operations throughout lifecycle.
