Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Mechanical Thermal Engineer to support aerospace and government projects in Pasadena, CA. You will perform thermal and structural analyses of electronic hardware, including enclosures and related components.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in thermal/structural analysis and testing, with electronics packaging experience, and proficiency in tools such as ANSYS, COSMOS, TSS, TAS, SolidWorks. TS clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Extensive thermal and structural analysis and testing of electronic hardware.
• Strong knowledge of thermal/structural design principles and testing.
• Experience with engineering analysis/design tools such as ANSYS, COSMOS, TSS, TAS, SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal and structural analyses of electronic hardware designs and systems.
• Determine component temperatures across operating and environmental conditions.
• Assess random vibration and fatigue life of electronic hardware.
• Review thermal and structural analyses from subcontractors.
• Support environmental qualification and testing programs.
• Participate in design reviews with project teams.
• Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers.
• Prepare technical findings and recommendations.
• Support quality, verification, and documentation activities.
