Job summary

Space Kinetic is seeking an aerospace thermal engineer to lead design, analysis, and testing of spacecraft thermal hardware. You will work closely with Structures, Electrical, GNC, and Propulsion teams to develop passive and active thermal control systems, validate performance with ground tests and orbital data, and contribute to test plans and documentation.

The role requires a 4+ year background in space thermal design, CAD proficiency, and ability to obtain government clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace/ mechanical engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of space experience with thermal design and validation.
• Experience with TVAC/thermo-vac testing and material characterization.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and test thermal hardware (MLI blankets, heaters, venting, heat pipes, sensors).
• Collaborate with Structures, Electrical, GNC, Propulsion, and System Engineering teams.
• Create technical documents: drawings, reports, test plans and procedures.
• Plan and execute TVAC and Thermal Cycling tests; manage BOMs and drawings.
