Job summary

Bastion Technologies, Inc. in Pasadena, CA is seeking a Mechanical Thermal Engineer to perform thermal and structural analyses of electronic hardware for NASA/JPL MASS contract. The role is onsite in Pasadena with a 9/80 schedule and occasional travel.

Candidate must have TS/SCI clearance, US citizenship or permanent residency, and at least 15 years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical/aero engineering or physics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of related work experience in thermal/structural analysis.
• US citizenship or permanent resident status required; TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aeronautical engineering, or physics.
• Proficiency in TSS, ANSYS, COSMOS, TAS and SolidWorks.
• Experience reviewing subcontractor analyses and supporting environmental tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform thermal and structural analyses of electronic hardware designs.
• Determine component temperatures for varied environments and assess random vibration fatigue life.
• Review analysis submissions from subcontractors for JPL projects.
• Support environmental test programs and design reviews.
• Interact extensively with project personnel.
