Job summary

SpaceWorks Enterprises seeks a Senior Thermal Engineer on a temporary basis to support our Aerosciences and Structures team. Open to remote work, with preference in GA, NC, TN, IL, LA, MD, AL, or TX.

The role requires designing and analyzing thermal environments for hypersonic and aerospace systems, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and contributing to code bases and simulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years of related aerospace experience.
• Strong first principles understanding of radiative, convective, and conductive heat transfer.
• Understanding of launch vehicle, missile, and/or aircraft thermal management and design.

Responsibilities

• Support thermal design and analysis for high-speed flight systems.
• Analyze launch vehicle thermal environments and component performance.
• Predict thermal loads and surface temperatures on hypersonic vehicles and spacecraft.
• Train others on thermal analysis in Thermal Desktop.
