Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a mid-level Senior Thermal Engineer for the MA&T department. You will perform thermal analyses across product lifecycles, from design trade studies to production support, using hand methods and FE tools.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience in thermal analysis using industry tools and fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand calculations to scope higher detail analysis models.
• Conduct detailed thermal analyses to address program challenges.
• Generate test plans to validate analyses and verify hardware.
• Analyze test data to validate and correlate models.
• Work with peers on moderately complex problems within cost/schedule constraints.
• Review work for technical accuracy with peers.
• Present results to internal, external, and government customers.
• May travel to government or other facilities for program activities.
• Generate detailed documentation and archive for reference.
• Act as a technical leader to define or refine MA&T processes/tools.
