Intuitive is a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery and minimally invasive care, crafting the da Vinci system and Ion. We seek a Senior Thermal Mechanical Design Engineer to design, analyze and verify robotic mechanical systems, ensuring reliability, manufacturability and performance in a regulated environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers, manufacturing, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality hardware and prototypes.

Competenze

Experience with product development lifecycle from design to manufacturing and sustainment.
Thermal system architecture, design and analysis including simulations.
Expertise in mechanism design, servo motors, encoders, sensors and robotics.

Mansioni

System thermal design, analysis and testing.
Designing mechanical assemblies with kinematics, drivetrain components, sensors and safety mechanisms.
Prototype development and design transfer to manufacturing.
Create design specifications and regulatory documentation.
Conduct experiments and validation testing; troubleshoot issues.
Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing during prototype and transfer phases.
Mentor and guide team members.
