Job summary

The City of Alexandria is seeking a Part-Time Senior Therapist for the Early Childhood Wellness program to provide IECMHC and coaching to promote social-emotional development from birth to age five. The role collaborates with families, educators, and community partners across school-based, center-based, and home-based settings.

Responsibilities include assessments, data-guided planning, caregiver education, and delivery of universal and targeted supports.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Licensed or license-eligible in Virginia (LPC/LCSW/LSATP/Clinical Psychologist) by appointment.
• Experience with infant/early childhood mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide IECMHC and coaching for children from birth to age five.
• Conduct developmental and social-emotional assessments and observations.
• Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and partners to develop support plans.
• Deliver program consultation to school-, center-, or home-based settings.
• Facilitate parent workshops and professional development for caregivers.
• Coordinate referrals and connect families with community resources.
