Job summary

The City of Alexandria is seeking a Senior Therapist for the Infant/Child Development Clinical Specialist role in the Part C Early Intervention program. You will provide clinical assessment, intervention and family-focused services to birth-to-three children with developmental delays.

A signing bonus of $3,000 is offered. You will lead and supervise practicum students, collaborate with service coordinators, and ensure documentation supports compliance with IDEA and local regulations while

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Education or related field.
• Two+ years of post-graduate clinical experience with substance use, psychiatric or emotional disorders.
• Licensure or license eligible as LPC, LCSW, LSATP or Clinical Psychologist in Virginia; licensure within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment, intervention and IFSP-related services for birth to age three.
• Serve as clinical supervisor for practicum/intern students.
• Coordinate with service coordinators to support families and communities.
• Maintain client records and ensure compliance with IDEA and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement IFSPs.
• Provide coaching, training, and guidance on early intervention practices.
