Job summary

Telesis Research LLC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to provide systems and interoperability engineering for the THAAD weapon system with international partners, and to assist with force design technical efforts.

This role requires DoD MILSATCOM experience, 12+ years, a Master's, and an active Secret clearance. You will lead and present reports to senior management and coordinate with government and contractor teams.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required
• Bachelor's in Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years of related professional experience
• Technical understanding and experience with THAAD
• Experience with DoD terrestrial and satellite comms (MILSATCOM)
• Ability to present reports to senior management; strong written/verbal skills
• Capable of independent work or leading teams to resolve problems
• Familiarity with MDA/BD System and THAAD program
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes

Responsibilities

• Provide systems and interoperability engineering for THAAD with international partners
• Assist Engineering Lead managing technical aspects of force design work
• Support international Tactical Data Link Architecture discussions
• Coordinate force design efforts with external agencies and stakeholders
• Identify deficiencies in design reviews and propose fixes
• Document and communicate findings to senior decision makers
• Participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings and exchanges
