Avion Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency. This position is located in Huntsville, AL, offering opportunities to guide THAAD-related systems engineering across international partners.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering, 10+ years of DoD systems experience, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance. Travel up to 15% and collaboration with multiple agencies are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field; an advanced degree may be preferred.
• 10+ years of related professional experience.
• Technical understanding and experience with THAAD.
• Experience with DoD terrestrial and satellite communication systems (MILSATCOM).
• Develop and present reports and presentations to senior management-level personnel; exceptional written and verbal skills required.
• Works independently and/or leads teams to analyze and resolve problems.
• Familiarity with Missile Defense Agency, Ballistic Missile Defense System, and THAAD Program Office work.
• Proficiency in system engineering and execution processes.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems and interoperability engineering, analysis, and technical guidance regarding THAAD with international partners.
• Assist the Engineering Lead with managing technical aspects of all assigned force design work.
• Assist with international Tactical Data Link Architecture; attend data link conferences.
• Coordinate on force design technical efforts with external agencies and stakeholders.
• Identify deficiencies in design reviews and propose fixes.
• Document and communicate technical findings to senior decision makers.
• Participate in regular and ad hoc force design meetings and technical exchanges.
• Other duties as assigned.
