Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. seeks a Sr. Associate Engineer–Test/Validation at its Chillicothe facility (14009 N Old Galena Rd, Chillicothe, IL 61523).

You will plan, execute, and manage validation activities using on-machine and bench testing, interpreting NVH data and generating reports to support CPI and NTI programs. You will collaborate with design and simulation teams, contribute to new product introductions, and travel up to 25% domestically to test engines and components at Caterpillar locations and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Materials Science with 1 year of dynamic test experience or;
• Bachelor’s degree in the same fields with 3 years of experience in dynamic test and analysis.
• Experience with DSP, modal analysis, data acquisition, strain gauges, and fatigue analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, execute, and manage validation activities for heavy machinery components.
• Communicate results with design and simulation teams and support NPI/NTI programs.
• Travel up to 25% domestically to conduct tests at Caterpillar locations and customer sites.
