Caterpillar is seeking a Test and Validation Senior Associate Engineer in Mossville, IL. You will lead engine performance tests for C280 NTI/NPI programs, coordinating test setups and data acquisition to optimize test cell efficiency and reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and hands-on engine development testing experience. Travel up to 10% and relocation assistance are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Professional experience in engine development testing – performance/validation.
• Experience with engine test setups and data acquisition planning.
• Proficiency in data visualization and analysis processes and tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engine performance, validation, and certification tests with safety-focused approach.
• Plan, procure and install validation hardware and instrumentation per test requirements.
• Ensure test readiness: engine install, cell calibrations, facility readiness, instrumentation upkeep.
• Communicate test results and data to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Support ISO 17025 processes in test activities.
