Job summary

Benchmark Electronics in Santa Ana, CA seeks an experienced Test Technician to support and debug test processes in manufacturing. You will troubleshoot, maintain testers, train operators, and drive continuous improvements with leadership input.

The role is safety-sensitive, full-time, and requires excellent communication, coordination, and the ability to work across multiple shifts and teams. A 2-year engineering or technical degree is preferred, with a comprehensive benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• 2-year engineering or technical degree preferred or equivalent
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics
• Safety-sensitive position

Responsibilities

• Performs debug and test assemblies to component level, as able, utilizing block diagrams and schematics
• Performs tester maintenance and upkeep
• Troubleshoots operator problems successfully, works with leadership on training and process improvements
• Provides training and ongoing support to the Test operators
• Communicates problems to Test Engineer and/or leader
• Assists in performing experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis
• Recommends additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers
• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities
• Complies with company security policies and procedures
• Works on problems of diverse scope with good judgment to obtain solutions
