Job summary

Benchmark is seeking a Test Technician in Santa Ana, CA to support and debug test processes in manufacturing. The role involves hands-on debugging of assemblies, tester maintenance, and training Test operators, with close collaboration to Test Engineers.

You will perform debugging, troubleshooting, and participate in Lean/Six Sigma initiatives while maintaining strong communication across teams in a safety-sensitive environment. This is a full-time, on-site position with a 5:00am–3:30pm shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year Engineering or Technical degree preferred.
• 8+ years of experience with 3+ years in leadership.
• Proficient reading electrical schematics.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required.

Responsibilities

• Performs debug and test assemblies to component level using block diagrams and schematics.
• Performs tester maintenance and upkeep.
• Troubleshoots operator problems with leadership on training and process improvements.
• Provides training and ongoing support to the Test operators.
• Communicates problems to Test Engineer and/or leader.
• Participates in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
• Recommends additional equipment needs to leadership and/or Test Engineers for the product debug areas.
