Job summary

Leidos is seeking a senior Test Engineer (Level 3) to lead verification, validation, and qualification of advanced systems for the SkyLine-X KN-2 program in Gaithersburg, MD. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, with 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripts (e.g., Squish, Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework).
• Familiarity with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for regression coverage.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical lead for system and software integration for Development Test and Formal Test on SkyLine-X KN-2.
• Lead design, development, and maintenance of test frameworks for verification and validation of complex, safety-critical systems.
• Integrate complex systems and software with minimal oversight and debug system-level issues with detailed data.
• Develop and maintain test approaches and procedures from system requirements (A-Level, SSS).
• Conduct root cause analysis and defect resolution with software and systems teams.
• Execute integration testing of distributed safety-critical systems using containerized or virtualized environments (Docker, Podman) and manage VMs and dev containers.
• Develop and maintain test artifacts and documentation (VRTM, traceability matrices, test reports).
• Interface with SkyLine-X KN-2 software and systems teams for installation and integration.
• Communicate status to stakeholders and support test readiness reviews and qualification events.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Release Planning, and Agile activities.
• Work overtime/on weekends if necessary and be able to travel.
