Job summary

Leidos is seeking a senior Test Engineer (Level 4) to lead verification, validation, and qualification of SkyLine-X KN-2. You will design and maintain test frameworks, integrate with both physical and virtual labs, and coordinate with multiple teams to ensure safety and performance standards are met.

Expertise in Linux, scripting, test automation, and AI/ML-enhanced testing is highly valued as the program scales and delivers critical ATC modernization capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 6+ years with a related Master's degree.
• Experience integrating and testing large-scale, distributed software systems.
• Strong Linux/UNIX administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Python, Bash, or Shell scripting for automation and data analysis.
• Experience troubleshooting network configurations, connectivity, and distributed system interfaces.
• Experience developing automation solutions that improve engineering efficiency.
• Experience with test automation frameworks (Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework) and CI/CD integration.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-assisted testing approaches and Claude Code is a plus.
• Proven experience in testing, test framework development, and system-level verification of complex or safety-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Integrate, configure, and validate SkyLine-X KN-2 capabilities in physical and virtual labs.
• Lead system integration, verification, and validation to ensure proper operation within the National Airspace System.
• Support demonstrations, verification events, and customer acceptance testing with KN-2 stakeholders.
• Collaborate with software, systems engineering, networking, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues.
• Develop automated tools, scripts, and AI-assisted solutions to improve testing efficiency.
• Coordinate integration activities with customer personnel and Leidos teams.
• Demonstrate system capabilities during run-for-record events and support readiness reviews.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior integration engineers.
