Job summary

The Leidos Health & Civil Sector seeks a Test & Validation Engineer Lead to guide the program’s quality engineering strategy for NIH/NCI projects. You will lead multidisciplinary testing teams and drive automated testing inside CI/CD and DevSecOps, ensuring compliance with federal standards while advancing cancer research initiatives.

As the lead, you will develop TEMP, validation strategies, and quality plans, collaborating with government stakeholders and SMEs to ensure fully testable

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience relevant to the position.
• Experience supporting NIH, HHS, CMS, or other Federal civilian agencies.
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks and integrating quality engineering into Agile and DevSecOps environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead verification, validation, and quality engineering activities across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, AI/ML solutions, and biomedical informatics systems.
• Develop and maintain TEMP, Validation Strategy, QMP, and automated testing framework.
• Define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and validation methodologies for multiple testing types.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders and engineers to ensure requirements are testable and traceable.
• Oversee automated testing using CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Lead validation of AI/ML solutions, including model verification and drift monitoring.
• Ensure compliance with NIH, HHS, NIST, Section 508, privacy, cybersecurity standards.
• Direct defect management and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop quality metrics and executive reports for Government leadership.
• Mentor quality engineers and promote automation and engineering excellence.
