Job summary

RTX's Airborne RF Electronics EE Department seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer - Test Software to lead the development of automated test software for production acceptance and diagnostic testing. You will collaborate with manufacturing, program leadership, quality, and engineering teams to resolve test issues and improve throughput.

Ideal candidates hold a STEM degree, have 5+ years in automated test systems, and are proficient with LabVIEW or LUA.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• 5+ years of experience developing and/or supporting automated test systems in production/engineering.
• Experience with LabVIEW or LUA for test automation.
• Experience analyzing test data and diagnosing faults across system levels.
• Active US Government Secret security clearance prior to start date; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve automated test software used for production acceptance and diagnostic test.
• Ensure Test Equipment is operable, reliable, and yields optimal test coverage and throughput.
• Perform technical evaluations of hardware and software-driven test results; classify failures and create data-driven dispositions.
• Identify, prioritize, and implement test process and software improvements.
• Provide regular status updates to program leadership on test performance, failures, and corrective actions.
• Create and update test procedures, technical documentation, and software release artifacts.
• Travel to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support test and production activities (up to 25%).
