Job summary

Edison Smart in Pleasanton, CA is seeking a Senior Test Software Architect to define the common test framework for a new Test & Qualification team. This hybrid role places you at the core of how flight hardware test software is built and released.

You will own the test executive framework, instrument drivers, and data contracts, mentor engineers, and shape standards for audits and tool qualification in a regulated environment. U.S. Person status is required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building test or instrumentation software.
• Proven ownership of a test framework used across multiple stations or products.
• Instrument interfacing and driver development (VISA, SCPI, or equivalent).
• Strong Python, C#, or similar.
• Experience in a controlled or regulated environment.
• U.S. Person status (required for export control).

Responsibilities

• Own the common test executive framework, instrument driver library, and sequence model, from board-level test through to field instrumentation.
• Define the test result schema and data contract.
• Own configuration management and release for test software that makes acceptance decisions on flight hardware, including tool qualification.
• Set technical standards and mentor test systems engineers, without line management.
