Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join our Software Quality Assurance team. You will build test automation for mission critical applications and collaborate with engineers and business partners to ensure release readiness.

Requirements include 5+ years in software testing, a Bachelor's degree, and hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Playwright preferred), Azure DevOps, and SDLC in Agile/Hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in software testing.
• Experience in Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid environments.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and test management tools.
• Proven ability to translate requirements into test plans, cases and scripts.
• Strong knowledge of Database and SQL queries for data validation.
• Experience with front-end stack: XML, HTML, JavaScript, JSON, DOM.
• Knowledge of API concepts: SOAP, OData, REST.
• Experience with Cloud technologies (Azure DevOps).
• Participate in the scrum process and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Perform black box and white box testing using exploratory testing techniques.
• Collaborate with business representatives and software engineers to analyze use cases and requirements.
• Analyze application logic and write complete and reusable test scripts.
• Execute testing tasks, document defects and report results.
• Holds defect review meetings with Development and Business to prioritize issues.
• Provide updates on testing activities and milestones.
• Identify risks and prepare mitigation plans.
• Develop status reports for test execution as needed.
• Drive automation strategies across multiple applications.
• Provide guidance on automation frameworks.
