Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX business, seeks a Software Engineer in Aguadilla, PR to join an Agile/Scrum team developing a reusable operating environment for automated product testing and hardware‑in‑the‑loop systems.

You will design modular C# software, interface with test fixtures and embedded hardware, and implement test sequences with NI TestStand, collaborating with engineers to meet program goals in a hybrid onsite/remote setup.

Qualifications

• Requires STEM degree with 5 years of related experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years.
• Proficiency with C# and object-oriented design.
• Experience with NI TestStand for test sequences.
• Strong understanding of hardware/software interaction.
• Experience mentoring engineers.
• Proficient English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and support software for automated test stations used to validate communication systems.
• Develop modular C# applications interfacing with test hardware and embedded systems.
• Implement automated test sequences using NI TestStand with custom modules.
• Program and control electronic test instruments using SCPI.
• Interface with JTAG, I2C and Ethernet-based protocols in tests.
• Collaborate with electrical/RF and systems engineers on integration needs.
• Debug hardware/software interactions and maintain test station docs.
• Provide on-site and remote support for lab environments.
