Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

1. Perform advanced Test Management tasks within the IT Project Management Office (PMO).
2. Conduct detailed analysis and testing related to software development, covering all phases of the system development life cycle.
3. Define and review User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategies, coordinate with business SMEs, and review UAT test cases.
4. Collaborate with business users and SMEs to create, update, and execute test cases.
5. Serve as the main liaison between IT, business, and development teams.
6. Lead defect triage, tracking, prioritization, and management.
7. Provide updates on UAT progress, defect status, and requirement coverage.
8. Ensure all exit criteria are met and obtain final sign-off from the business.
9. Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience creating and executing system test plans.
• 4-7 years of Performance Testing experience.
• 4-7 years of experience with performance monitoring tools like JProfiler, JMeter.
• 4-7 years of experience with test tools such as JUnit, Selenium, Microfocus UFT.
• 4-7 years of experience with unit testing frameworks.
• Strong understanding of the full software lifecycle, especially testing disciplines.
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience managing and reporting on testing activities.
• Experience overseeing various testing types including UAT, performance, accessibility, interface, and data conversion testing.
• Proficiency in reviewing, updating, and creating test strategies, scripts, and suites.
• Experience documenting and reporting test results and defect incidents.
• Ability to coordinate testing schedules and provide training to team members.

Preferred Skills

• 4 years of experience with DB2 and MS SQL Server queries.
• 4 years of experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools like Octane.
• 4 years of experience with Jenkins, CVS, Maven, and Ant.
• Testing management experience in UI with commercial software, including Sagitec’s Neosurance.
• Experience working within the State of Texas.
