Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm with 33 years of experience providing technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Test Manager to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

Location of job: Remote

The Worker(s) will provide the following services: Perform advanced Test Manager work within the IT Project Management Office (PMO). Conduct detailed analysis and testing related to software development. Responsible for activities throughout all phases of the system development life cycle, including analyzing, diagnosing, and resolving software issues for internal and external clients. Define and review the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) strategy, including scope, resources, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Coordinate UCFs with business SMEs, review UAT test cases received from vendors, and work with business users and SMEs to create and update test cases and execute testing. Act as the main liaison between IT, business users, and the development team. Lead triages, track, prioritize, and manage defects. Provide updates on UAT progress and results, project status, defect resolution, and requirement traceability. Ensure exit criteria are met and obtain final sign-off from the business. Perform other duties as assigned to maintain operations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Candidates must meet or exceed the following skills and experience to be considered:

  • 4-7 years of experience in creating and executing system test plans
  • 4-7 years of experience in performance testing
  • 4-7 years of experience with performance monitoring tools (e.g., JProfiler, JMeter)
  • 4-7 years of experience with test tools (e.g., JUnit, Selenium, Microfocus UFT)
  • 4-7 years of experience with unit testing frameworks
  • Understanding of the full software development life cycle with emphasis on testing
  • Excellent leadership, communication, organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage, perform, monitor, and report on testing activities
  • Experience overseeing user acceptance, performance, accessibility, interface, and data conversion testing
  • Ability to review, update, and create test strategies, suites, and scripts
  • Experience documenting and reporting test results and defect status
  • Ability to coordinate testing schedules and meetings
  • Providing training and mentoring to testing team members

Preferred:

  • 4 years of experience with DB2 and MS SQL Server queries
  • Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) Octane
  • Experience with Jenkins, CVS, Maven, and Ant
  • Testing management experience in UI with commercial software, including Sagitec’s Neosurance
  • Experience working in the State of Texas
