Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a senior Test Definition Responsible Engineer for the Human Landing System. You will drive integrated test definitions across programs, coordinating test beds, systems, vehicle tests, and mission operations to ensure requirements are traced and validated.

You will own end-to-end test data products, collaborate with partners, and mentor teams while navigating complex interelement testing and test campaigns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, electrical, systems, or related).
• 8+ years in test engineering, systems test, integration & test, or verification across design/execution lifecycle; advanced degree may substitute part of the experience.
• Experience owning test planning, requirements verification, and integrated or system-level test definition with minimal oversight.
• Knowledge of interface management (ICDs/IRDs), requirements traceability/verification, and IMS dependencies.
• Ability to lead cross-functional technical efforts across organizations without direct authority.
• U.S. citizen/national, permanent resident, or refugee/asylum status as required by regulations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an HLS test integrator and Responsible Engineer, driving test definition into integrated, joint, and interelement testing.
• Create and coordinate integrated and joint test plans across test beds, systems test, vehicle test, and mission operations.
• Assess ICDs/IRDs against test objectives to confirm traceability and identify missing requirements.
• Review engineering changes and keep test definitions current across data repositories; ensure requirements flow to IPTs.
• Provide IMS inputs and maintain a top-down/bottom-up integrated HLS test perspective.
• Own test data products end-to-end and drive test definition into production test operations.
• Interface with customers/partners on test coordination and insights; participate in reviews.
• Mentor cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership on test scope.
