Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a test engineer to own ground support equipment coordination and test procedures for the MK1 Lunar Lander program. You will develop, execute, and optimize environmental test campaigns to meet program objectives and safety standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with environmental testing, test documentation, and collaboration across Operations, Lunar Permanence, and other teams to keep schedules on track and ensure data-driven verification.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, chemical, or electrical engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental testing.
  • Experience writing and executing test procedures.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work extended hours.
  • Experience reading P&ID and electrical schematics.
  • Experience developing installation and checkout procedures.
  • Understanding of fluids and electrical instrumentation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test procedures for integrated vehicle systems.
  • Coordinate, setup, install, and operate vehicle Electrical Ground Support Equipment test capabilities.
  • Develop test methods to efficiently complete integrated system testing.
  • Maintain appropriate test equipment configuration control, calibration, and traceability.
  • Write test procedures, manage procedural updates during test campaigns.
  • Oversee vendor design and fabrication of test equipment.
  • Participate in gated design and Test Readiness Reviews.
  • Perform facility activation tests and ensure safety.
  • Troubleshoot anomalies in real time.
  • Reduce, analyze, and archive test data to support verification tasks.
  • Bring high energy to achieve ambitious goals.
