Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Test Engineer to join our Lunar Permanence team, developing and testing flight hardware for crewed lunar missions. You will lead test campaigns, coordinate with engineers and technicians, and ensure safety and quality across test activities.

The role emphasizes root cause analysis, structured testing, and collaboration across dispersed teams to reduce risk and advance spaceflight capabilities for sustainable lunar infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, physics, or related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years experience in aerospace test campaigns.
  • Experience working on dispersed rapid development teams, driving process development.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop and execute test procedures for flight hardware.
  • Lead daily test operations, operate test consoles, direct technician work and coordinate with internal customers.
  • Perform root cause, system hazard analysis and failure investigations.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise during testing.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain test support equipment.
  • Enforce safety policies during test planning and operations.
  • Participate in test readiness reviews and post-test reviews.
