Job summary

Sun Recruiting, Inc. is seeking a seasoned Test Engineering Manager to lead the Manufacturing Test Engineering team in Newark, CA. You will direct PCBA test strategy, oversee ICT and Flying Probe programs, and push for quality and efficiency across production lines.

Responsibilities include mentoring engineers, coordinating with NPI, Design, Quality, and Operations, and driving continuous improvements to test coverage and yields. Strong leadership and deep PCBA testing expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of test engineering experience in EMS/PCBA/electronics manufacturing.
• 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
• Strong expertise in PCBA Functional Testing, ICT, and Flying Probe Testing.
• Proven ability to lead test program development and process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Test Engineers to set priorities and deliverables.
• Define test strategies and standards across manufacturing programs.
• Oversee development and validation of PCBA test solutions (Functional Test, ICT, Flying Probe).
• Drive root-cause analysis and corrective actions for yield and reliability.
• Collaborate with NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering to ensure production readiness.
