Job summary

B4Corp, a defense-focused IT contractor, is seeking a Test Engineer with TS/SCI clearance to lead automation efforts and mentor peers in Bethesda, MD. You will design and execute automated test suites for cloud-based applications, align with Agile planning, and drive quality across teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires significant automation expertise, strong coding in Java or Python, and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and GitHub.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in software quality assurance with a focus on automation testing.
• Experience creating, authoring, executing and documenting test cases in an agile cadence.
• Hands-on design and implementation of robust automation frameworks using Selenium or Katalon Studio.
• Strong programming in Java or Python to write efficient test scripts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub) and integration with automated tests.
• Experience with software performance testing and cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Ability to work in a SAFe/DevOps environment and collaborate across teams.
• BS degree with 12–15 years of experience or Master’s 10–14 years; degree optional with relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor junior and mid-level test engineers; conduct code reviews and promote quality.
• Participate in Agile software development initiatives to support testing of cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate to assess StoryPoint/complexity for proper testing and delivery per criteria.
• Develop test approaches emphasizing automation of recurring/regression tests.
• Create automated test cases for custom apps using GUI/COTS tools.
• Leverage DevOps to ensure repeatability and configuration management of tests.
• Document end-to-end test narratives and support performance testing using tools like JMeter.
