Job summary

Northrop Grumman in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Staff Test Engineer to lead integration and test activities for advanced programs. You will develop, execute ITPs, manage HWIL/SWIL environments, and coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to ensure readiness and risk reduction.

The role demands extensive test planning and execution experience in defense or aerospace systems, strong data analysis, and the ability to obtain DoD clearance. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with extensive defense/testing experience.
• Experience with requirements traceability in a systems engineering framework.
• Strong background in hardware-in-the-loop testing and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage test environments (HWIL/SWIL) and supporting infrastructure.
• Translate requirements into comprehensive system-level test solutions.
• Develop and execute integrated test plans and schedules for tests.
• Ensure traceability of test requirements and artifacts in ITPs.
• Coordinate test activities across internal teams, labs, and suppliers.
• Analyze test results and provide data-driven design recommendations.
• Oversee supplier test efforts and data reviews.
• Design risk-reduction test methods and demonstrations.
• Manage test data, configuration, and metrics with modern tools.
• Serve as liaison for test activities with customers and stakeholders.
