Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a Senior Test Hardware Engineer to drive test strategy and verification for the TeraWave avionics suite in the Greater Seattle area. You will own electrical test campaigns across bench, vehicle, and pre-launch stages, ensuring EMI/EMC compliance and repeatable production-ready test capabilities.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with manufacturing, and development of scalable test infrastructure to support multiple vehicles and fast-paced schedules.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Strong background in electrical test planning and verification.
• Experience with GPS/GNSS simulators and RF testing preferred.
• Proven ability to lead test campaigns and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the avionics electrical software test strategy, plan and verification matrix.
• Derive electrical test requirements from system specs, ICDs and safety requirements.
• Coordinate cross-functionally to define and finalize interface test requirements.
• Own test procedure development, review and qualification/acceptance workflows.
• Lead bench, vehicle and pre-launch electrical test campaigns including EMI/EMC testing.
• Drive anomaly investigation, root-cause analysis and corrective actions to closure.
