Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Mid-Senior Test Engineer to support a high-impact program for US Space Force and other stakeholders. The role emphasizes PKI, Agile development, and rigorous test governance across large SATCOM systems.

Collaboration with software and systems teams, and engagement in formal test events, are core expectations. The candidate will drive regression testing, develop test artifacts, and ensure test readiness through reviews and demonstrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field; 8+ years of related experience
• Experience across full system development life cycle testing
• Experience creating and executing formal system tests
• Experience writing detailed test procedures
• Experience participating in formal test events
• Experience collaborating with software developers on test procedures
• Experience documenting test results for corrective actions
• Experience performing regression testing for software-based systems
• Experience analyzing test data and validating software applications
• Experience in Agile Scrum environments
• Experience testing with physical lab equipment
• Experience reporting test results clearly in writing and verbally
• Experience using elevated privileges to run manual tests
• Experience verifying systems against specifications
• Strong communication with management and technical staff

Responsibilities

• Define test priorities with stakeholders and align scope
• Coordinate test environment prep and test procedure development
• Manage cross-team dependencies for test events
• Interface among software and systems engineers in Agile Scrum
• Apply BDD within the Agile framework for quality
• Plan, execute, and oversee regression testing
• Coordinate tests with customer milestones and reviews
• Develop and maintain Test Plans, Descriptions, and Reports
• Collaborate with Automated Test Development for CI pipeline testing
