Job summary

Form Energy in Berkeley, CA is seeking a Sr. Test Engineer (Process Development) to advance our multi-day battery testing program. You will own test procedures, develop robust workflows, and ensure data integrity while scaling laboratory testing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, implement automation with Python and in-house software, and help translate lab learnings into scalable, safe processes for production deployment.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemical or electrical engineering or related field plus 4+ years of method development experience.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Safety first mindset in lab and operations.
• Proven ownership of procedures and work instructions.
• Hands-on experience testing your own designs across diverse systems.
• Lab proficiency with electrical hazards and SDS practices.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL with data-analysis/automation experience.
• Excellent collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own commissioning and testing processes for large lab-scale batteries.
• Create and maintain robust documentation for knowledge transfer across the company.
• Optimize procedures and workflows focusing on safety, efficiency, and data integrity.

• Maintain understanding of product systems to inform best practices.
