Job summary

Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing is seeking an experienced Product Safety Engineer to serve as a technical contact and verify products against safety standards. The role involves developing test procedures, conducting tests, and ensuring equipment calibration, while collaborating with lab leadership and project teams in a dynamic environment.

The candidate will train junior staff, review reports, and contribute to certification documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of direct work experience in product safety engineering and hazardous location equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with diverse teams.
• Willingness to travel.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer technical contact and interpret standards for products under investigation.
• Create and implement test procedures and conduct tests according to standards.
• Ensure test equipment is calibrated and operating properly.
• Interface with Lab Managers, Team Leaders, and Project Coordinators.
• Assist with training of junior technicians and engineers and review project files.
• Prepare certification reports and support sales and marketing activities.
