Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in Baltimore, MD is seeking a SAF Engineer to serve as a customer technical contact, interpret standards, and develop test procedures for product safety compliance. You will conduct tests, record results, and ensure equipment calibration while collaborating with Lab Managers and Project Coordinators.

The role requires a four-year engineering degree and 4+ years in product safety engineering, with potential travel. This is a full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Four-year college Engineering degree, or other technical degree with relevant work experience.
• Four years of direct work experience in product safety engineering and hazardous location equipment product safety engineering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer technical contact.
• Interpret standards and apply the requirements to products under investigation.
• Create and implement test procedures.
• Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
• Ensure that test equipment is calibrated or tested and operates properly.
• Interface with and update the Lab Manager(s), Team Leader(s) and Project Coordinator(s).
• Monitors multiple projects underway.
• Prepare certification reports and related documents.
