Job summary

Eurofins Consumer Product Testing in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Senior Safety Engineer to lead product safety assessments under hazardous locations standards. You will serve as a customer technical contact, interpret applicable standards, and develop test procedures to ensure compliant product testing.

Responsibilities include conducting tests, preparing certification reports, mentoring junior staff, and supporting sales/marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Four-year college Engineering degree or other technical degree with relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of direct work experience in product safety engineering and hazardous location equipment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Willing to travel.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without sponsorship.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer technical contact.
• Interpret standards and apply requirements to products under investigation.
• Create and implement test procedures.
• Conduct tests in accordance with standards and procedures, record results.
• Prepare certification reports and related documents.
• Assist as necessary with training of junior technicians and engineers.
• Review files and reports prepared by project engineers.
• Support management with Sales and Marketing activities.
