Job summary

Eurofins USA Consumer Product Testing seeks an experienced Staff Engineer to apply working knowledge of IEC 60601-1 and related standards to support product safety initiatives across US, Canada, and international markets. The role involves independent project work, report writing, and direct client communications from Austin, TX.

Responsibilities include scoping and quoting, validating tests, and assisting in audits, with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of product safety experience.
• Two–to–four-year college degree in engineering or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% and visit client sites.
• Valid driver''s license required.

Responsibilities

• Support base standards (IEC 62368-1, IEC 61010-1, IEC 60601-1) and collaterals.
• Quote as needed to support management for product safety standards.
• Take on new standards as the business dictates.
• Test products per standards: power input, leakage, dielectric, temp, stability, IP testing.
• Help prepare & support audits, participate in design reviews and client communications.
