Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Test Engineer to support a government contract in the National Capital Region. You will design and implement automated test systems around a physical DUT, connecting bench instrumentation and writing Python/LabVIEW software to control tests and analyze data.

You’ll develop HIL environments, build intuitive GUIs, and ensure data is repeatable and NIST-traceable. Strong collaboration with customers and teammates is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience building automated test systems around a physical DUT.
• Experience with bench equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, analyzers) and test software.
• Ability to write Python and/or LabVIEW to control hardware and analyze results.

Responsibilities

• Take a customer-designed DUT and determine what must be proven about it.
• Configure bench instrumentation to the DUT.
• Develop and maintain test automation and data analysis software in Python and/or LabVIEW.
• Build hardware-in-the-loop environments and simulations for DUT validation.
• Create operator-facing GUIs for tests and document procedures and system architecture.
• Train engineers and technicians and engage with customers to understand testing needs.
