Tin Can is building screen-free devices and services to keep families connected without smartphones. As a Senior Software Engineer, Test, you’ll own end-to-end test suites across iOS/Android apps, firmware, and call-path components to ensure every release meets safety and reliability standards.

You’ll develop automated SIP test calls, validate emergency calling, and expand regression coverage across key paths. Join a small, mission-driven team focused on trust, simplicity, and care.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in software engineering with focus on test automation for production systems.
• End-to-end test suites that engineers trust and CI integration.
• Ability to read telemetry, follow requests across services, and validate behavior with tests.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end and call-path test suites; ensure changes are safe to ship.
• Build automated SIP test calls in staging; verify connection, audio, voicemail, and call records.
• Guarantee emergency calling with continuous verification to prove calls reach 911.
• Grow regression coverage for voicemail, approvals, missed calls; protect users.
• Automate manual release steps across mobile, backend, and firmware for faster, safer releases.
• Shape CI/CD: PR gates, deploy gates, and failing checks handling.
• Collaborate with firmware for repeatable release testing; device emulation and test hooks.
• Measure test suites: coverage, signal to engineers, defects caught before shipping.
