Job summary

MiniMed seeks a Principal Test Engineer/Test Lead to define and drive quality engineering strategy, verification & validation (V&V), test automation, AI-enabled testing, and release readiness across mobile apps, connected devices, cloud services, APIs, cybersecurity, and regulated medical device development.

You will lead globally distributed and offshore testing teams, ensuring end-to-end testing across programs while collaborating with engineering and regulatory leadership to achieve quality

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience leading large-scale testing efforts across complex software, mobile, cloud, and connected device ecosystems.
• Experience managing globally distributed and offshore test teams.
• Strong knowledge of Mobile testing (Android/iOS), API and Cloud testing, BLE and connected device validation, and AI-enabled quality engineering.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the overall test strategy, quality roadmap, and release readiness activities across multiple products and programs.
• Serve as the technical authority for software, systems, integration, connectivity, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Establish quality engineering best practices, testing standards, and governance models.
• Lead testing activities for mobile apps, BLE testing, cloud services, APIs, and connected devices across platforms.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (FDA IEC 62304 ISO 13485) and support audits and CAPAs.
• Lead global/international test teams and coordinate offshore testing efforts.
• Drive automation and CI/CD excellence to improve coverage, repeatability, and release confidence.
• Mentor and develop engineers across multiple levels and disciplines.
