Job summary

MiniMed Northridge, CA seeks a Senior Product Test Engineer to drive design verification and reliability strategies for next‑gen infusion pumps. You’ll partner with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software teams to characterize new hardware designs and novel delivery algorithms, advancing designs from concept through transfer.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, statistical analysis, and risk management within a regulated medical device environment, with on-site emphasis and some hybrid

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with 4+ years of medical device development and/or development quality, or Master’s with 2+ years.
• Experience in FDA-regulated or similarly regulated industry is preferred.
• Hands-on design verification testing, test method development, and validation experience.
• Understanding of risk management documents and program work products.
• Proficiency with statistical analysis tools and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of design verification and reliability test strategies for electromechanical medical devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to characterize new hardware designs and emerging technologies.
• Apply statistics to support test method validation and design characterization.
• Review DFMEA/PFMEA and hazard analyses; develop test methodologies accordingly.
• Lead CAPA projects and participate in regulatory audits.
