Job summary

Intertek Testing Services NA, Inc. in Plano, TX seeks a Senior Project Engineer to independently evaluate products for compliance with national codes and standards. You will read schematics, define test scope, set up EUT, perform testing, and document results.

You will mentor junior staff, develop test procedures and report shells, provide quotations, and represent Intertek on standards committees. Travel approx 45% domestic and 5% international as required.

Qualifications

• Experience with U.S., Canadian, and international product safety standards (ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC).
• Ability to define problems, collect data and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to read and analyze schematics for power flow and spacing requirements.
• Capability to make engineering judgments independently within set parameters.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct on- and off-site evaluation of products for compliance.
• Read standards clauses and determine applicability to the EUT and project scope.
• Set up and operate EUT, perform tests, and document results and repairs as needed.
• Prepare test plans, test fixtures, and report shells for the local office.
• Provide technical mentorship and client-facing insights; contribute to audits.
