Job summary

Intertek Testing Services NA, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to independently evaluate products for compliance with relevant standards, read schematics, and validate project scope. The role requires setting up tests, performing procedures, and documenting outcomes, including basic repairs where needed.

The engineer will mentor junior staff, engage with clients, prepare quotations for varied standards projects, and contribute to accreditation activities while traveling as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and four years of experience as a Project Engineer or related role.
• Experience with U.S., Canadian, and other International product safety standards (ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, IEC).
• Ability to read schematics and analyze power flow and spacing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct on- and off-site product evaluations for compliance with standards.
• Read and apply applicable national codes and standards to EUT.
• Plan, set up, and perform tests; document results and simple repairs as needed.
• Mentor junior staff and communicate test procedures and findings to clients.
