Job summary

Farm Family is seeking an experienced Test Automation Engineer to join the P&C QA and Test Automation team. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for web and API applications in a 100% in-office role.

You will lead initiatives, work with Agile teams, and ensure reliable testing through CI pipelines. A strong background in programming, automation frameworks, and insurance domain knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• 6–8 years in software development or test automation, with 5+ years designing automated testing frameworks.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or C#.
• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Tosca.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work independently.
• Leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Understanding of P&C insurance products is a plus.
• Test automation certifications such as CTAL-TAE or CSTAS-IIST are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts for web and API apps.
• Support test design with Agile teams and requirements.
• Execute tests in CI pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Analyze results, identify defects, and collaborate with developers to fix issues.
• Maintain test environments, tests, and data management strategies.
• Develop test reports and dashboards for visibility into coverage and results.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to quality standards.
• Prepare detailed documentation of testing solutions and data flows.
• Estimate time and cost for test automation development and operations.
• Collaborate with Test Automation Architect to translate objectives into testing solutions.
• Stay current with emerging tools and trends.
