Job summary

Sunayu, LLC seeks a Senior Test Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated test solutions across REST APIs and web UIs. You will work with Linux, Python, Docker/Podman, and CI/CD (Jenkins, GitLab) to evolve our in-house automation framework.

Responsibilities include migrating from Robot Framework to modern platforms, writing SQL validation steps, and collaborating with stakeholders to plan, estimate, and implement robust testing across the system.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux and Bash scripting experience from the command line.
• Advanced Python test automation using Pytest with robust fixtures.
• Docker/Podman in CI/CD workflows and image management.
• Jenkins and GitLab pipelines for containerized test runs.
• REST API testing with validation of responses and errors.
• Robot Framework UI automation with Selenium.
• Architect a test automation harness for UI/API testing.
• SQL queries using SQL Developer for automated validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test suites for REST APIs and web UIs.
• Build a scalable test harness with data setup/teardown and CI/CD integration.
• Expand Python-based automation with fixtures and data strategies.
• Create Docker/Podman images for consistent automation across environments.
• Integrate test execution into Jenkins and GitLab pipelines.
• Improve test stability and contribute to framework migration efforts.
• Write and maintain SQL-based validation steps in tests.
• Troubleshoot CI failures and drive QA automation improvements.
• Collaborate on migration plans from legacy Robot Framework to modern platforms.
