Job summary

ID.me in Mountain View, CA is hiring a Software Development Engineer III – Test Infrastructure to build and maintain testing infrastructure for scalable automation across services. You will contribute to cross-team quality through end-to-end and integration tests, AI-assisted testing, and canary/rollout testing practices.

You will work with Playwright, Python, Jest and CI/CD tools to raise reliability while collaborating with product, security, and engineering teams to ship confidently.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience (or 2 years with a Master’s degree) as a software engineer in modern web applications and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python/TypeScript/JavaScript/Java.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Jest, and API automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Experience testing e-commerce/marketplace experiences, including offers and cashback logic, affiliate/attribution and click-tracking accuracy, consent-gate and error-state flows.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation frameworks with Playwright, Python, Jest, and API automation.
• Develop end-to-end and integration tests for complex, asynchronous systems (Temporal).
• Support testing-in-production practices including canary deployments and progressive rollouts.
• Create test automation for commerce and marketplace surfaces (offers, cashback, affiliate flows).
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute reusable workflow components.
