ID.me is seeking a Software Development Engineer III in Mountain View, CA to build and maintain testing infrastructure for scalable, reliable software. You will implement automated test frameworks and end-to-end tests across commerce, identity services, and marketplace experiences.

The role emphasizes collaboration with product, security, and engineering teams to raise quality and resilience across our platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer in modern web applications and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python/TypeScript/JavaScript/Java.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Jest, and API automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD).
• Experience testing e-commerce/marketplace experiences, including offers and cashback logic, affiliate/attribution and click-tracking accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation frameworks (Playwright, Python, Jest, API automation).
• Develop end-to-end and integration tests for asynchronous, event-driven systems (Temporal).
• Support testing-in-production practices: canary deployments, progressive rollouts, synthetic monitoring.
• Build test automation for commerce and marketplace surfaces (offers, cashback, affiliate/attribution).
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute reusable workflow components.
• Use AI tools to accelerate test authoring, test plan generation, and code review.
